Chef Vincent Caradonna
Vincent’s story begins in the French Alps, in the small city of Annecy, steps away from Switzerland. He stopped studying accounting to pursue his passion: the art of chocolate-making. After graduating as a Master Chocolatier from l’Institut Culinaire de Paris, he trained under world renowned Chefs and Chocolatiers Paul Collet, P. Rigollot, and Denis Girard in France. In 2012, he was ready for the American Dream. He worked as a Chocolatier and Pastry Chef with Jean-Francois Bonnet in New York City, in Atlanta, at the MGM in Las Vegas with Chef Jean-Philippe Maury, and even in Australia. In 2017, he opened his first fine chocolate and pastry shop in his wife’s hometown, Greenville, SC.
In 2019, Vincent moved to Philly to expand his culinary practice and to be closer to the Germain side of his family. Vincent’s great-grandparents, René and Jeanne Germain, were entrepreneurs near Paris, France. In 1939, René, then a locksmith, had big ideas. He and his wife founded what became one of the most influential precision metal planing factories in the Paris region. The entrepreneurial spirit and the art of making things with precision continue to run in the family. Le Saint Germain is a multi-generational family business. Bienvenue!
